Clinic C.N.A./Med Aide/Certified Medical Assistant (C.M.A.)

Position Summary

The Clinic C.N.A./Med Aide/Certified Medical Assistant (C.M.A.) will support the daily functions of the Clinic under the direction of Clinic Nursing staff.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conducts patient rooming of clinic patients including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, and documenting in the medical record

  • Assists provider in exam rom

  • Administers medication and injection to patients per orders of a licensed provider if within scope of practice 

  • Answer phones calls and voicemails from patients 

  • Acts a liaison between patients and providers with patient questions, issues

  • Manages patient follow-up of test results under the supervision/instruction of the provider
  • Demonstrate ability to perform the required minimum lab tests for patients to include blood sugar, hemoglobin, dip urinalysis, pregnancy test, hemoccult test, and culture preparation

  • Assists in monitoring and maintaining inventory control of clinic, office supplies, and stocking of rooms

  • Assists with day-to-day cleaning and Infection Control of the clinic exam rooms and department

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Certified Nurses Aid in the State of Nebraska with

  • Medication Aid in the State of Nebraska OR

  • Certified Medical Assistant (C.M.A.)

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and modern office equipment
