Gothenburg Health announced today it will resume elective surgery and outpatient procedures on May 18. This announcement comes after Governor Ricketts announced that hospitals in Nebraska can resume elective surgeries beginning May 4 if: 30% of hospital beds, ICU beds, and ventilators are available. From an athletic training student to now a charge nurse at Gothenburg Health, Phillip Miller has had multiple positions in the medical field over the last couple of years. But he didn’t initially see himself working in the medical space until a series of events changed his mind.
