This is a rapidly evolving topic. We'll make more information available here as we get it, but in the meantime, we encourage you to reference information on the CDC's website here.
Check out this video from Gothenburg Health Providers answering some frequently asked questions about the new COVID-19 vaccine.
Information as of 12/23/2020:
Currently, we don't know how many COVID-19 vaccine doses we'll receive at Gothenburg Health. We do know that we are getting the Moderna vaccine which is a two dose series 28 days apart. Below, you will find an FAQ about the COVID-19 vaccine.
As we move forward with getting Gothenburg Health employees vaccinated, we will be using guidelines set out by the State of Nebraska (outlined in the DHHS document below, Gothenburg Health is following the Critical Access Hospital Tier). These guidelines lay out the tiers the vaccine will be provided to healthcare workers, along with other groups of higher risk individuals. We are doing everything possible to ensure the vaccine rollout is efficient and inclusive but also in alignment with the regulations outlined by the State of Nebraska and the CDC.
The final document, included below, is information about the v-safe app the CDC has rolled out. This is a tool that can be used to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive the COVID-19 vaccination. This will also serve as a reminder when you are due for your second dose of the vaccination.
