Gothenburg Health Honors Ann Stevens with The Caring Kind Award

For 46 years, the Nebraska Hospital Association has recognized health care workers who go above and beyond through its annual The Caring Kind Awards. This honor celebrates employees who dedicate their careers to improving their hospitals, supporting co-workers, and serving their communities. Nearly 3,000 health care professionals across the state have been recognized since the program began.

This year, Gothenburg Health is proud to nominate Ann Stevens for this prestigious award. Stevens has been a vital member of the Gothenburg Health team for over 11 years, including the past five years in her current role as purchasing agent.

National Health Care Supply Chain Week, observed Oct. 6-12, highlights the essential role supply chain professionals play in keeping health systems running reliably. Gothenburg Health recognizes the importance of positions like Stevens’s and honors her for the exceptional way she supports the entire organization.

“Ann is the quiet behind the chaos that can be healthcare,” Andrew Knust, CEO said. “Working diligently in her back corner office surrounded by supplies, she makes sure the hospital, the clinic and its staff have everything they need at their fingertips.”

Stevens’s dedication to service is evident in everything she does. Whether she’s ordering advanced surgical supplies or placing an Amazon order, she is known for being timely, responsive and efficient.  Knust said Ann is always willing to take on any challenge and do the research to find a product, a representative, or anything else that’s needed.

Beyond her job performance, Stevens’s warm personality makes a lasting impression. Her smile and friendly greetings brighten the day for everyone she meets, Knust said.

Outside of work, Stevens enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Aaron, their two young sons Brett and Beau.

Stevens and other honorees will be recognized at The Caring Kind Awards Luncheon during the Nebraska Hospital Association Annual Convention on Friday, Oct. 24, at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista.
