We provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and swing bed rehabilitation services including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Our rehabilitation department specializes in helping individuals recover normal movement and function following an illness or injury. We work with people of all ages and health conditions, so whether your goal is to return to athletic competition or watch your grandchildren play at the park, our therapists are dedicated to providing comprehensive, individualized treatment to meet your every need.
Our spacious, state-of-the-art outpatient clinic was just opened alonside the YMCA's grand opening in the spring of 2018. Our clinic offers private treatment rooms, a large open gym area, balance retraining equipment, access to the wellness center fitness equipment as well as access to the 4-lane indoor pool. Treatment rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment including electrotherapeutic modalities and traction equipment.
In an effort to provide our patients with the best care possible, we utilize a progressive and focused approach to injury care/prevention and rehabilitation of patients of various ages, abilities and medical problems. Our therapists work with patients following surgery, trauma or repetitive use injuries.
Our therapists will assess your muscle strength, flexibility, coordination, posture, and mobility skills to develop an appropriate treatment plan focused on reducing pain and promoting a return to full function. If full function is not achievable, then evaluation and training for adaptive equipment is available. In addition to treating current injuries, our staff will work with you to establish a home exercise program to facilitate your recovery and reduce the chance of future injuries.

Dry needling is a relatively new technique that is used to decrease muscle pain and improve mobility. The needles that are used are very similar to that of an acupuncture needle, however, it is not the same methodology as acupuncture. Dry needling involves no injection which is why the descriptive word “dry” is used.
The mechanical properties of the needle in the muscle cause the muscle fibers to lengthen and increase blood flow to the area which cleans out toxins from the muscles. Often times, electrical stimulation is applied to the needle which causes the muscle to contract. The stimulation will help “reset” the muscle and help decrease post-treatment soreness.
Dry needling can be used to treat multiple diagnoses including low back pain, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and many others. Many people get squeamish with the thought of needles, but, for most people, it is not a painful experience. The sensation is often described as a deep ache or burning which may be slightly uncomfortable. It does not feel like you are getting a shot because there is no injection.
