Men's Health Week 2018

Gothenburg Health Provider, Aaron Salomon, shares helpful reminders during Men's Health Week.

June 11-17, the week leading up to Father's Day, is National Men's Health Week. The purpose of this week is to raise awareness of preventable health issues among men and boys and to encourage early detection and treatment of disease.

Aaron Salomon, Physician's Assistant at Gothenburg Health, explained that statistically, men are less likely to get regular health checks than women. "Men are dying from preventable illnesses because they ignore symptoms and bypass healthcare screenings." Aaron encourages men to get your general healthcare wellness screenings like colonoscopies and prostate exams. "Giving up your "ego" that you're invincible to illness won't kill you, but could truly save you instead."

Are you or a family member behind on getting regular exams and screenings? It's not too late to get back on track. Call the Medical Clinic at Gothenburg Health today to schedule an appointment: 308.537.4066.
