PA-C, Mike Crisman, Joins Team at Gothenburg Health

Gothenburg Health is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Crisman, PA-C, to our team of Hometown Providers. Mike began his practice in Gothenburg on November 2, 2018.
Mike received his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He went on to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln as a pre-med major in Biological Science. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine in Omaha, receiving his master's degree of Medicine in the Physician Assistant program and graduated with high honors.
Mike has spent most of his career (14 years) working in family practice and providing emergency medical services in Valentine, Nebraska. Just recently, Mike spent almost two years practicing emergency medicine at Great Plains Health in North Platte. Mike came to Gothenburg Health due to his desire to return to family practice. “I enjoy the continuity of care and watching families grow. I’m looking forward to becoming part of a close-knit community again,” stated Mike.

Gothenburg Health is pleased to welcome Mike to their group of Family Practice providers. “Mike’s experience in rural medicine, in particular, his family practice and emergency medicine background, will provide a unique blend of relevant services for our patient population,” explained Gothenburg Health CEO, Mick Brant. “Mike will also help us reach a long-term goal of providing extended clinic hours so patients can visit a provider before going to work or school first thing in the morning. We’re still finalizing the details of the new hours but hope to provide them as early as December of this year.”

Personal
In his free time, Mike enjoys a variety of family activities with his wife, Reba and 13-year-old son, Trevor, including hiking, camping, boating, fishing, four wheeling, and target shooting. Mike and Reba also enjoy watching Trevor compete in various athletic events including football, basketball, baseball, and track.
