Position Summary
This role is responsible for clinical quality and compliance for Gothenburg Health. The Quality and Compliance Director is responsible for oversight for patient and employee safety, risk mitigation, and strategies to improve clinical outcomes. This position develops and implements quality improvement initiatives to meet or exceed established clinical quality indicators, patient safety goals, and desired operational efficiency. Compliance with regulatory requirements of Federal and State agencies is overseen by this role.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee the health system’s compliance programs to adhere to various agency regulations for clinical services
- Plan, develop, operate, and evaluate programs related to quality assurance and risk management to improve outcomes and mitigate risk.
- Develop and maintain a performance measurement work plan and reporting methodology to ensure timely data collection, analysis, and reporting of established performance measures related to key operational and clinical processes and outcomes.
- Analyze risks and develop remediation plans and initiative-taking approaches.
- Chair quality/Infection control committee to oversee accountability for sub-group quality improvement initiatives.
- Utilize tools to collect data for quality and compliance including disease related data to provide timely reports to colleagues and health system leadership for required action.
- Respond to complaints and grievances in a timely manner, conduct thorough investigations, and formulate appropriate responses.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and three years of progressive experience in quality improvement or clinical program compliance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines
- Active RN license in the State of Nebraska
- Knowledge of State and Federal clinical compliance programs
